We are focusing on design process thinking and are working to become more reflective artist's that use feedback and experimenation to create a variety of media. Weekly feedbacks and blog posts are some ways that we hear from peers to get ideas for future projects or figure out what steps they need to take next. Here is a variety of projects on which we are working.

Week 5-6 Cardboard Sculptures 3D Art
Week five and six had students creating a symbol or logo that was three dimensional. They had to use cardboard layered with paper mache. They then painted them with the design of their choice and could apply mixed media if they chose. They are finishing up designs and getting ready to reflect on a recent critique we had.
They had to use a design that complimented or accented the shape of the logo they chose.

Week 1-4 3-D Art
Week 1 3-D Art had a challenge where they had to make a sculpure out of white styrofoam cups without using glue or tape. They worked in groups and had to create a sculpture on the following criteria: Strength, Height, Stability, Creativity, Teamwork and Craftsmanship. This was preparation for their individual sculptures to follow.
Three Dimensional Art has been designing white paper sculptures to show the interplay between light and shadow. The goal was to use at least 3-4 different sculpting techniques using only white paper, glue and tape. The tape could not show in the final presentation. Students then presented work during a critique and recieved and made suggestions to each other about improvements. Revisions were made based on suggestions and they had peer and self reflections.
